Actor Troubles - The Show Must Go On

You could say that the Lincoln Zephyr is the main character in my "Define Lincoln Luxury" commercial contest entry but I'm usuing a friend and local actor in a supporting role. Well, two days into shooting he has to have emergency surgery (not life threatening thank god) and I'm out of an actor.

It looks like we'll have to reshoot with another actor. Luckily I have friends who can step up on short notice. I think we can shoot much faster the second time around so if we move quickly everything should be ok.

This is how movies are made!

Opportunity Knocks!

So I talked to the local Lincoln Dealer who loaned me a Zephyr (I want to keep this car LOL) and he might want to use my work even if Lincoln doesn't! I don't know what the legal issues are but I'm sure they can work it out.

This could be a nice addition to my portfolio.

The Car - Lincoln Zephyr

Well thanks to my friend Mike, and a local Lincoln dealer, I've got a Zephyr for a week. Filming for my "Define Lincoln Luxury" commercial contest entry is about to start in earnest.

Thanks again Mike!

We're Shooting

Well sort of. I shot some film for the "Define Lincoln Luxury" commercial contest using a test car today. I just want to see how some of my ideas work out with a real moving car. I don't have a Lincoln to use yet but my friend Mike has something similar and he helped me out for the day.

I think everything went well. I'll let you know in a couple of days.

Vintage Lincoln Luxury

I found this clip of old Lincolns while doing research for the "Define Lincoln Luxury" commercial contest. It would be cool to include one in my entry to acknowledge Lincoln's long history. These cars are still beautiful today.

Lincoln MKZ (Formerly Zephyr)

Well in doing my research for the "Define Lincoln Luxury" commercial contest I discovered that the Zephyr is changing a bit in 2007:
Following the strong sales launch of the Lincoln Zephyr in the autumn of 2005, the entry-level luxury sedan is reborn for the 2007 model year with a new, more powerful 3.5-liter V-6 engine, a newly designed front end, more traction with available all-wheel drive (AWD) and a new name – Lincoln MKZ.

"Customer demand for Lincoln’s mid-size luxury sedan has exceeded our expectations," says Al Giombetti, president, Ford, Lincoln Mercury Marketing and Sales. "We have taken a brand-new, well-received car and significantly improved it to draw a new generation of customers to the Lincoln brand." Lincoln Zephyr has become an immediate sales success. "Judging by reaction in the showroom, customers are clearly ready for an American entry-level luxury sedan,"
